CMC demolishes 154 unauthorized buildings in 10 days
HYDERABAD: The Cyberabad Municipal Corporation has continued its strict enforcement drive against unauthorized buildings in all three zones. From August 24 to September 2, the authorities demolished 154 unauthorized structures. This ongoing crackdown shows the corporation’s commitment to enforce building codes and stop the spread of unauthorized construction in the growing municipal area.
Out of all the zones, Serilingampally had the most demolitions, with 69 unauthorized buildings taken down in ten days. Meanwhile, Kukatpally had 33 demolitions, and Quthbullapur had 52. In Serilingampally, the Narsingi Circle had 28 demolitions, the most in any circle, followed by Miyapur Circle with 15. Overall, these numbers show how much unauthorized construction is happening as these areas grow quickly.
In Kukatpally Zone, actions happened in many circles, such as Madhapur, Allwyn Colony, Kukatpally, and Moosapet. This shows the authorities are trying to stop building code violations everywhere in the zone. Similarly, Quthbullapur Zone also saw action across all its circles. For instance, Gajularamaram had 10 demolitions, Jeedimetla and Kompally each had 9, and Nizampet had 8 buildings demolished during this period.
The Commissioner has told the Town Planning and enforcement teams to keep checking for unauthorized buildings every day. In addition, the teams must keep up the effort and make sure no illegal structure is built against the building codes.
The corporation says it will keep acting against unauthorized buildings using the right procedures and building codes. The main goal is to make sure rules are followed and to stop more unauthorized construction in all three zones, CMC added in a statement.
