Heavy vehicle collides with car in Narsingi, four injured

NARSINGI: A Side-on collision between a heavy wheel and four wheeler left four people injured under Narsingi police station of Cyberabad police commissionerate on Sunday. The crash was captured in the CCTV and the footage of the same went viral on social media. Netizens have been sharing the CCTV footage cautioning the drivers and requesting the law enforcement authorities to crack a whip on rash driving.
The victims were identified as Sandeep, Gowtham and Eshawar who were in the four wheeler. Another victim was heavy vehicle driver Satish also injured in the crash.
According to Narsing police, during the wee hours at around 3 Am on Sunday, the car with registration number TS09 EQ1512 was approaching Mai Hume Avatar from Narsingi. Meanwhile, the heavy wheel driver drove the tipper vehicle recklessly and rammed the car going towards Gachibowli.
Narsingi police received the Dial 100 call from the good samaritans who were on the spot. Subsequently, the police rushed to the spot and rescued the injured victims and shifted them to private hospitals for better treatment.
“Due to this, the tipper driver Sathish sustained injuries while Gautham, Sandeep, and Eshwar, who were in the car, sustained injuries in the incident. Narsingi police have registered a case and started the investigation,” said Narsingi police of Cyberabad commissionerate.
Cyberabad traffic police caution motorists that they should remember that alcohol hampers vision due to dizziness and it also dampens fear and incite humans to take risks. All these factors while driving result in accidents and many times it proves fatal.
“If anybody indulges in driving under the influence of alcohol and causes accidents resulting in fatalities, such persons will be arrested and prosecuted under Section 105 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (culpable homicide not amounting to murder). The maximum punishment for this offence is 10 years of imprisonment and a fine” said Cyberad traffic police in an official statement.
