CV Anand immerses clay Ganesh idol at home
City police commissioner CV Anand celebrated Ganesh Chaturthi in a simple manner by immersing his household Ganesh idol at home on Saturday morning.
The family had installed a clay idol of nearly one foot height. After performing the final puja and aarti, Anand carried the idol from the puja room and immersed it in a makeshift tank prepared with a flower pot lined with plastic cover and filled with water.
Video goes viral on social media
A video of the immersion, shared by Anand on his personal X account, went viral on social media. “The immersion is proceeding smoothly,” he wrote.
