Startup Conclave 2025 set to unite science, industry, and innovation in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) is set to host the Startup Conclave Hyderabad 2025 on April 22 and 23 at CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT), Hyderabad. The two-day event, themed “Catalyzing Innovation, Connecting Ecosystems,” aims to promote innovation and entrepreneurship within India’s research and technology landscape.
The conclave is being jointly organized by three Hyderabad-based CSIR institutes, IICT, Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB), and National Geophysical Research Institute (NGRI). A curtain raiser for the event was held today at CSIR-IICT.
The conclave will be inaugurated on April 22 by Dr. Jitendra Singh, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Science and Technology. Dr. N. Kalaiselvi, Director General of CSIR, will deliver a special address on the same day. On April 23, G. Kishan Reddy, Union Minister for Coal and Mines, will attend the event. Eatala Rajender, Member of Parliament, and Bathula Laxma Reddy, MLA from Telangana, are also expected to be present.
Dr. Srinivasa Reddy, Director of CSIR-IICT, said the conclave aims to foster entrepreneurship by showcasing CSIR-driven startups and technologies, particularly those supported by the three local CSIR labs.
Dr. Vinay Nandicoori, Director of CSIR-CCMB, highlighted the role of deep-tech startups in healthcare, chemical, and geophysical sectors. “We hope this event inspires young people to pursue entrepreneurial paths,” he said.
Dr. Prakash Kumar, Director of CSIR-NGRI, highlighted the importance of collaboration in R&D, particularly in areas such as earthquake risk mitigation and resource exploration, including groundwater and geothermal energy.
The conclave will feature keynote addresses, panel discussions on emerging technologies and commercialization, technology demonstrations, and startup pitch sessions. An exhibition pavilion will showcase technologies developed by the organizing institutes and startups incubated at these labs.
The event supports the national initiative “Startup India, Standup India” and seeks to build stronger connections among startups, researchers, industry, and policymakers.
