SANGAREDDY: Panic gripped fishermen after three crocodiles were sighted in Yenkepally lake in Sadasivapet mandal of Sangareddy district on Monday, forcing them to stop fishing and stay away from the waterbody.
Fishermen who ventured into the lake found two crocodiles at one location and another at a different corner of the lake. Fearing a possible attack, they decided to suspend fishing operations as they were unsure how many crocodiles had made the lake their habitat.
The sightings have caused concern among local residents, as the lake is frequently used by people and cattle to quench their thirst. Fishermen urged the government to immediately remove the reptiles from Yenkepally lake to prevent any threat to human life and livestock.
