Statistical analysis validates impact of COVA’s Compassionate Citizenship Program

HYDERABAD: A statistical analysis of the Compassionate Citizenship Program implemented by COVA Peace Network has found measurable improvements in students’ social awareness, environmental consciousness, civic responsibility and community participation.
The assessment was based on data collected through pre-, mid- and post-programme surveys conducted between 2022 and 2026. The analysis measured changes in awareness, attitudes, participation and social responsibility among students who participated in the programme.
According to COVA, the study employed several statistical methods, including frequency distribution analysis, percentage analysis, comparative analysis, the Chi-square test of association, Pearson’s Chi-squared test, trend analysis and impact evaluation analysis.
The dimension-wise impact evaluation showed significant improvement in social awareness among students. Environmental consciousness registered strong improvement, while civic responsibility also improved during the study period.
The findings further indicated increased social sensitivity and community participation among students. Leadership development was also found to have improved through participation in the programme.
COVA said the Compassionate Citizenship Program demonstrated measurable gains in students’ awareness, participation, compassion and responsible citizenship behaviour.
The organisation stated that the statistical findings support the continuation and expansion of similar citizenship and social awareness programmes across educational institutions. It said such initiatives could contribute to holistic student development and benefit society and the nation.
A detailed statistical analysis report has been made available by COVA on its website.
