Couple Injured In Ameerpet Car Bike Collision

HYDERABAD: A couple was seriously injured when their bike was rammed by a car at Ameerpet on the night of Friday, March 28, 2025.

According to the reports, the couple was traveling from Ameerpet to SR Nagar when the car struck their bike at high speed. The impact caused them to fall, resulting in injuries.

Local police promptly responded and transported the victims to a nearby hospital for treatment. The driver of the car has been identified, and a case has been filed against him. The vehicle has been seized, and an investigation is underway.

Doctor Dies in Fire Engine Accident

In a tragic accident on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, Dr. Soha Fatima, 23, a woman doctor, lost her life after the scooter she was riding was hit by a fire engine near Upparpally, Attapur. Dr. Fatima and a colleague were traveling towards Rajendranagar when the fire engine reportedly lost control and collided with their scooter. Dr. Fatima, who was not wearing a helmet, died at the scene from her injuries.

Her colleague, also a doctor, was critically injured and shifted to the hospital for further treatment. The Rajendranagar police have registered a case, and Dr. Fatima’s body has been sent for a post-mortem examination at Osmania Hospital.

On March 8, 2025, a hit-and-run accident in Bachupally claimed the life of engineering student K. Nani. Nani and his two friends, Karthik and Vishwanth, were riding a scooter when an unidentified vehicle struck them. Nani fell onto the road and was run over by a heavy vehicle. His friends were injured and taken to the hospital.

On the morning of March 8, 2025, a truck overturned on Masab Tank Road, causing significant traffic delays. The truck was traveling from Masab Tank towards Mehdipatnam when the incident occurred. The driver was injured and was taken to the hospital for treatment.

On March 7, 2025, 19-year-old Kanishk Reddy died in a collision between a car and a lorry on the Outer Ring Road near Gollapalli Kalan. Kanishk, the grandson of Teegala Krishna Reddy and son of former BRS corporator Teegala Sunaritha Reddy, succumbed to his injuries despite being rushed to the hospital.

These recent incidents add to a growing number of fatal accidents in Hyderabad. Earlier this year, two doctors were killed in a car accident near Khanapur in January 2025, and Dr. Nilay Reddy lost his life in a crash on the Outer Ring Road in September 2024. Other fatalities have involved pedestrians and motorcyclists being struck by heavy vehicles.
