HYDERABAD: Ministers put up a strong show in the municipal elections, delivering decisive victories for the Congress in their constituencies.

Entrusted with overseeing polls across parliamentary segments, ministers simultaneously focused on their home constituencies. The strategy helped the party secure comfortable wins in most segments, with results largely favouring the Congress.

In the constituency of Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, the Congress alliance won 21 of 22 wards in Madhira, including 18 secured directly by the Congress.

In Dharmapuri constituency, represented by minister Adluri Lakshman Kumar, the Congress won all 15 wards, recording a 100% strike rate.

Ministers Uttam Kumar Reddy, Sridhar Babu, Jupally Krishna Rao, Vakiti Srihari, Ponnam Prabhakar and Damodar Rajanarsimha also posted strong performances in their respective constituencies.

Elections were not held in the constituencies of ministers Tummala Nageswara Rao (Khammam) and Konda Surekha (Warangal East).

  • Komatireddy Venkat Reddy – Nalgonda Corporation: 27 of 48 wards
