Congress secures majority in Telangana local body polls, says Deputy CM

HYDERABAD: Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka on Friday described the local body election results as a “big victory” for the ruling Congress, stating that the party had secured a full majority.
“As far as the Congress government is concerned, this is a big victory. The people have given a full majority to the Congress party, and we are all very grateful to them, and we will work with more seriousness and sincerity,” he said.
He thanked voters for backing the Congress and said the government would intensify its efforts in governance. The Deputy CM said the mandate reflected public confidence in the party’s leadership and policies.
