Parupati Mahender Reddy, P. Charan Raj Reddy lead major donations to Congress

Hyderabad: The Congress Party has received substantial financial backing from various prominent individuals and organizations, with significant contributions emerging from the city, as revealed by the Election Commission of India (ECI). After the formation of telangana state, Congress party came to power after Ten long years by overthrowing the Bharat Rashtra Samithi(BRS).
Leading the list of donors, Parupati Mahender Reddy and P. Charan Raj Reddy each made a hefty contribution of Rs 3 crore, while P. Sudhathi Reddy followed closely with Rs 2 crore. Contributions from other notable figures, including P. Suprith Reddy and Madan Mohan Rao Telangana, who each pledged Rs 1 crore, have further bolstered the party’s efforts.
Among organizations, Nectar Pharma donated Rs2,50,00,000, while Varun Motors contributed Rs88,00,000, and Krinotek Private Limited pledged Rs50,00,000. Individual donors such as Varun Bhardwaj and Shilpa Jain contributed Rs4,00,000 and Rs3,50,000, respectively.
Congress party rakes in crores from prominent Hyderabad leaders
According to the data released by Election commission of India(ECI) Contributions from Congress Party leaders included Rs 27,60,000 from Irrigation Minister and MLA Uttam Kumar Reddy Nalamada, Rs 6,00,000 from Telangana TPCC Vice President Dr. Shravan Kumar Reddy Panyala, and Rs 5,00,000 each from veteran leaders Mohammed Ali Shabbir and Congress MLC Balamoori Venkata Narsinga Rao.
Palakurthi MLA M. Yashaswini Jhansi Reddy made a unique contribution of Rs1,88,888. Several individuals, including Environment Minister Konda Surekha, Transport Minister Ponnam Prabhakar, Dr. Danasari Anasuya Seethakka, veteran leader V. Hanumantha Rao, Bhongir MP Chamala Kiran Kumar, Congress MLC Thatiparthi Jeevan Reddy, Nagarjuna Sagar MLA Jayaveer Kunduru, Bodhan MLA P. Sudarshan Reddy, Dornakal MLA Dr. J. Ramchander Nayak, and MP Renuka Chowdary, contributed Rs1,38,000 each.
Other notable donors included former MP Dr. KVP Ramachandra Rao, Tollywood actor-turned-producer Bandla Ganesh Babu, veteran leader Dr. J. Geeta Reddy, Sanathnagar contested candidate Dr. Kota Neelima, TPCC Secretary Kausal Sameer, Jubilee Hills contested candidate V. Naveen Yadav, former Kalwakurthy MLA Challa Vamshi Chand Reddy, Sundara Rajan Samavedi, and Mirza Obaidullah Baig.
Vemulawada MLA Aadi Srinivas donated Rs1,24,200, emphasizing his commitment to the party’s goals. Smaller yet impactful contributions included Rs50,000 from Congress leader Dokuri Prabhakar Reddy, Rs67,000 each from Shiva Charan Reddy Jakkidi and Venugopal Swami B, and Rs25,000 from Sita Rama Anjaneyulu Nannuri.
