Complaint filed with EC against Asaduddin Owaisi over “inflammatory speech” in Solapur
Hyderabad: A complaint has been filed against All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) President and Hyderabad MP Asaduddin Owaisi and his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi, accusing them of making “inflammatory speeches” during an election campaign in Maharashtra.
Shiv Sena (Shinde group) leader Rahul Kanal filed the complaint with the Election Commission and Mumbai Police Commissioner. According to the complaint, Asaduddin Owaisi gave inflammatory speeches during a public gathering in Solapur.
Kanal alleged that the speeches made by these leaders were “aimed at disrupting communal harmony and creating unrest within society.” Sharing the video of the speech, he appealed to the police to thoroughly probe the matter and take appropriate action against them.

Recently, Asaduddin Owaisi delivered a speech in Solapur as part of the party’s electioneering ahead of the November 20 Assembly elections. While addressing the people, the AIMIM leader said he received a notice from the district police asking him not to make any comment that may hurt the sentiments of other religions.
Commenting on the notice, Owaisi said, “still 15 minutes left” for the public meeting to end. The AIMIM leader’s remarks are being seen as a mockery of the police notice as he made an oblique reference to his brother Akbaruddin Owaisi’s “15 minutes” remark years ago.
