CM Revanth Reddy orders swift land acquisition for 190 km RRR Southern section

Hyderabad: Close to 190 kilometers lying in Choutuppal- Amangal- Shadnagar- Sangareddy areas has to be acquired for laying the Regional Ring Road (RRR). Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has directed officials to expedite the land acquisition process at a high-level meeting held at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar State Secretariat on Wednesday.
He emphasized that the land acquisition process must be carried out with complete transparency.The Chief Minister highlighted the need for road planning that ensures smooth connectivity between the Outer Ring Road (ORR) and the RRR. He directed officials to identify and plan the connection points with major highways in advance, ensuring continuous and smooth travel.
Regarding the RRR, the Chief Minister noted that land acquisition for the Sangareddy- Bhuvanagiri- Choutuppal route is nearly complete, while in the southern section, covering Choutuppal-Amangal-Shadnagar-Sangareddy(189.20 km), he made several suggestions related to land acquisition and alignment.
RRR to align with ‘Future City’
The alignment of the roads should cater to future needs, he added, stressing that the planning should be beneficial for various industries and institutions to be established in the upcoming “Future City.”
The Chief Minister also instructed the respective district collectors to provide daily updates on the progress of the RRR construction to the Chief Secretary of the government. He instructed officials to conduct field visits in line with these suggestions, prepare a comprehensive report, and submit it promptly. He also advised them to discuss any technical issues related to the RRR with the Central Government immediately.
The meeting was attended by Minister Komatireddy K. Venkat Reddy, Chief Minister’s Advisor Vem Narender Reddy, Nalgonda MP Kunduru. Raghuveer Reddy, Chief Secretary Shanti Kumari, and other senior officials.
