Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has ordered immediate medical support and treatment for Rakesh, an intermediate student from Hanumakonda district who has been battling a rare form of Pseudo Muscular Dystrophy (muscle ailment) for an extended period.

Rakesh, a resident of Rangayya Palli village in Bhimadevarapalli mandal, has been struggling with Muscular Dystrophy, which has left him unable to walk. Doctors have recommended regular administration of costly injections to manage his condition, but his family has been unable to afford the treatment due to financial constraints.

After reading a news article about Rakesh’s condition, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy took swift action and directed officials to provide immediate medical support for the student, ensuring all necessary treatment was available. Additionally, the CM ordered the provision of a charging vehicle to assist Rakesh in commuting from his village to Mulkanur, where he studies at a private college.

Following the Chief Minister’s directives, OSD to the Chief Minister, Vemula Srinivasulu, reached out to Rakesh’s family to reassure them of the government’s support. Rakesh’s parents, Gulla Samaiah and Lakshmi expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the Chief Minister for his prompt intervention and support, which they believe will significantly improve their son’s treatment prospects and overall quality of life.

Rakesh’s family thanked CM Revanth Reddy for extending the much-needed help during their time of distress.
