CM Revanth Promises Revive Nightlife in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: After much backlash from the Hyderabad residents and the politicians in the Assembly over the restrictions on the night life in the city, the Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Friday announced that the night life would be revived as usual. Revanth Reddy was speaking in the Telangana Legislative Assembly.

For the past few weeks, after the Congress government formed the government, several commercial outlets, including food and liquor shops have closed between 10-11pm. Further the police surveillance has also increased in the city as cops were discouraging any activity during the night time. But, the Hyderabad city being a metropolitan city has its own vibe and night culture.

Discussing this in the Assembly, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy said that “I promise the night life in Hyderabad will be revived like before and everything will be open till 1pm in all the three commissionerates, Hyderabad, Rachakonda and Cyberabad. I spoke to the commissioners on the 24th and 25th of this month, there was a meeting, we spoke about it.”

Official orders would be given

Revanth further added that all the restaurants will remain open till midnight. However, the Chief Minister said that he would not allow any liquor shops to run beyond the permissible limits. He added that people would consume more liquor if the outlets remain open for a longer time. He added that he would like to maintain a strict stand on this issue. Further, the restaurants and the other food outlets are going to be open in Hyderabad.

Revanth Reddy giving a green signal said that he would also give official orders and assured the public not to worry regarding this.

Recently, MIM floor leader, Akbaruddin Owaisi also questioned the Congress government on how police were dealing with residents for standing outside of their homes in the Old City areas.
