Class 10 student killed as double-decker bus hits bike on Gachibowli flyover
Hyderabad: In a horrific road accident on the Gachibowli flyover on Saturday, a class 10 girl student lost her life while her brother sustained severe injuries.
The incident occurred under the Gachibowli Police Station limits when their two-wheeler was hit by a double-decker bus.
At the time of the accident, the girl was returning home after appearing for her class 10 examinations at Telecom Nagar. The girl student, who was riding pillion with her, died on the spot while her brother received serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The deceased was identified as Prabhati Chhatriya (16), and her brother Suman Chhatriya, residents of the TNGO colony.
The accident led to a massive traffic jam in the Gachibowli area. After receiving a call, the local police rushed to the spot and shifted the body to the mortuary for postmortem. The police have registered a case and investigation is underway.
