Christmas feast at LB Stadium: Traffic curbs likely on December 20 evening

HYDERABAD: Traffic restrictions and diversions are likely to be implemented around LB Stadium on December 20, 2025, between 5 pm and 10 pm, in view of the Christmas Feast celebrations to be attended by the chief minister.
According to a traffic advisory issued by the joint commissioner of police (traffic), vehicles may be stopped or diverted on a need basis on several arterial routes around the venue to ensure smooth conduct of the programme.
Traffic coming from A.R. Petrol Pump Junction towards BJR Statue will be diverted at A.R. Petrol Pump towards Nampally Railway Station. Vehicles moving from Basheerbagh towards A.R. Petrol Pump will be diverted at BJR Statue towards SBI, Abids and the Nampally Station road. Traffic from Sujatha School lane towards Khan Lateef Khan Building will be diverted at Sujatha School junction towards Nampally.
Commuters have been advised to avoid Lakdi Ka Pool, Iqbal Minar, Ravindra Bharathi, Hyderabad Traffic Police Junction, Basheerbagh, BJR Statue Circle, SBI Gunfoundry, A.R. Petrol Pump, Khan Lateef Khan Building and Liberty during the specified hours.
RTC buses plying from Ravindra Bharathi towards BJR Statue will also be diverted at A.R. Petrol Pump towards Nampally Railway Station, depending on the traffic situation, police said.
Citizens have been requested to take alternative routes, plan their travel in advance and cooperate with traffic police. In case of inconvenience, commuters can contact the Hyderabad Traffic Police helpline at 9010203626.
The advisory was issued by D Joel Davis, joint commissioner of police (traffic), Hyderabad, with a request to print and electronic media to give wide publicity in the interest of public safety.
