Chiranjeevi Sets Guinness World Record

Hyderabad: Actor Chiranjeevi has garnered a unique recognition from the Guinness World Records as the Most Prolific Film Star in the Indian Film Industry history as an actor and dancer. The record was presented by actor Amir Khan in Hyderabad on September 22, 2024 in the presence of other celebrities such as Sai Dharam Tej, Varun Tej among others from the film industry.

For the records, Chiranjeevi performed 24000 dance movies in 537 songs in his 45 years of film career where he acted in over 156 films. The Guinness World Record mentioned that they considered which are commercially released and are credited in the name of the actor, Chiranjeevi. The official has also mentioned that his acting and dancing skills have also mesmerized them.

Chiranjeevi’s early career

It is pertinent to note that the actor is getting this recognition on the same day he debuted into the film industry in the year 1978 on September 22 with Punadhirallu movie. According to his official website, “Chiranjeevi began his acting career in 1978 with Punadhirallu. However, Pranam Khareedu was released earlier at the box office. In 1987, he starred in Swayamkrushi which was dubbed into Russian and was screened at the Moscow International Film Festival. Chiranjeevi won the 1988 Indian Express Best Actor Award and the state Nandi Award for Best Actor awards for his performance in the film. In 1988, he co-produced “Rudraveena” which won the National Film Award for Best Feature Film on National Integration.”

It was further added that back then in 1992, Chirajeevi’s film, Gharana Mogudu, which came under the direction of K Raghavendra Rao is also the first Telugu film to cross Rs.10 crore at the box office in those times.

Chiranjeevi was last seen in Bhole Shankar in Tollywood, a film that revolves around sister sentiment. He is now gearing up for his next, Vishwambara.
