Chilkur Balaji Temple Brahmotsavams Set To Begin In Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Chilkur Balaji Temple, located in Chilkur Village near Hyderabad, is set to begin its annual Brahmotsavams on April 7, 2025. The week-long celebration will run through April 14, offering devotees a chance to partake in a series of significant religious rituals.

The festivities will start on April 7 with Selver Koothu in the morning, followed by Ankurarpanam in the evening, marking the symbolic sowing of spiritual seeds. On April 8, the Dwajarohanam ritual, which involves hoisting the divine flag, will take place in the morning. In the evening, the Sesha Vahanam procession will be held.

April 9 will feature the Gopa Vahanam procession in the morning, while the Hanumantha Vahanam procession is scheduled for the evening. On April 10, the Suryaprabha Vahanam will take place in the morning, followed by the Garuda Vahanam and the Kalyanotsavam (divine wedding) in the evening.

The festival continues on April 11 with Vasantotsavam in the morning, celebrating the arrival of spring, and the Gaja Vahanam procession in the evening. April 12 will see the Pallaki Seva in the morning, with the Rathotsavam (chariot procession) in the evening.

On April 13, devotees can witness the Mahabhishekam in the morning, followed by the evening rituals of Asthana Seva, Aswa Vahanam, Dhop Seva, and Pushpanjali. The Brahmotsavams will conclude on April 14 with the Chakra Teertham ceremony in the morning, followed by Dwajaavarohanam and Dwadasaradanam in the evening.

The Brahmotsavams are a celebration of devotion and tradition, providing an opportunity for spiritual enrichment, getting blessings and a deeper connection with Lord Balaji.
