Charminar police arrest two juveniles for mobile snatching

Hyderabad: Charminar Police arrested two juveniles on August 21, 2024, in connection with a mobile snatching incident that occurred on August 18, 2024, at Miralam Mandi Kaman, under the jurisdiction of Charminar Police Station.
The arrested individuals have been identified as BJCL 1, a resident of Riyasath Nagar, Santosh Nagar, Hyderabad, and BJCL 2, a resident of Fateh Darwaza, Shah Ali Banda, Hyderabad. The police have seized the stolen mobile phone, a Samsung A34, and the motorcycle used in the crime.
According to reports, the incident took place when the complainant was talking on their mobile phone and walking near Miralam Mandi Kaman, heading towards Pathargatti Mosque. The two juveniles, identified as BJCL 1 and BJCL 2, were riding a Pulsar NS 125 motorcycle with the registration number TS-11-EW-0262. They approached the complainant from behind, snatched the mobile phone, and fled the scene.
A case was registered under Crime Number 185/2024. The investigation was led by IO Md Khaleel, Sub-Inspector of Police, with support from his team. The suspects were apprehended under the supervision of P. Chandra Shekar, ACP Charminar; K. Chandra Sekhar, SHO Charminar; and Brahma Murari, DI Charminar.
The Charminar Police urge the public to safeguard their belongings and to use the emergency number 100 to report any suspicious activity. They also encourage community cooperation to help prevent and detect crime.
