Chandrayangutta to get robot-shaped Ganesh idol
CHANDRAYANGUTTA: The Mallikarjuna Nagar Youth Association will install a robot-shaped Ganesh idol this year as part of its golden jubilee celebrations, with the idol based on the Viksit Bharat 2047 theme, its representatives said.
Speaking to reporters at the Vigneshwara Sai Dhamam in Lalithabagh on Thursday, the association representatives said the robot Ganesh would be used to highlight Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision centred on economic growth, improved living standards and environmental sustainability.
The association said it had previously installed Ganesh idols based on the Ayodhya, Chandrayaan and Operation Sindoor themes.
Chairman Chandrashekhar, vice-chairman Sushil Kumar, treasurer Gundu Srikant, president Venkatesh and representatives Dayanand, Sai Charan and Akhil attended the meeting.
