Chandanagar police crack down on prostitution trade, rescue victim
Miyapur: Chandanagar police busted a prostitution racket and arrested three persons including a 60 year old woman and rescued a 23-year-old woman on Thursday.
The arrested accused were identified as JalliGampa Lakshmi(60), Kota Venkata Satish and Kesoju Vijay Kumar. The police are yet to arrest the organizer.
On credible information about prostitution racket being organized in an apartment, Old MIG, under Chandanagar police station limits The police team obtained permission from ACP, Miyapur conducted a raid on the house. During the raid the inmate of the house tried to escape from the police but was caught by the police.
When questioned the accused revealed the details as – 60-year-old Jalli Gampa Lakshmi confessed that she is working under Raju. As per his direction he took the and admitted About 15 days ago, she has come from Rajahmundry and then Raju has asked her to do work for him and offered 10,000 per month as salary. She further confesses that Raju was running prostitution.
Further the police have rescued a 23-year-old victim who confessed that she is doing prostitution as per the instruction of the Raju. “The organizer supplies the customer from mutual friends and procures the victim girls. As such in this manner the accused persons have been running the said business since a few days,” said Chandanagar police.
This is a case of Immoral Trafficking of Victim for Sexual Exploitation, committed by the accused persons. Subsequently police booked a case under relevant section and started investigation. This case was investigated by D.Palavelli, Inspector of Police, who made sustained efforts in arresting the accused and seizing the items.
