Chanchalguda jail superintendent refutes rumours of cat attack on DCP Radha Kishan

Chanchalguda : Chanchalguda Jail Superintendent Shivakumar Goud refuted the rumours of a ‘cat attack’ on DCP Radha Kishan Rao, who was arrested in connection with the Telangana phone tapping case. He has also confessed to tapping the mobile phones of several political leaders in the state.
Earlier, it was circulated that DCP Radha Kishan Roa was attacked by a cat in the jail premises and got injured. However, refuting the same, the Chanchalguda jail Superintendent Shivakumar said, “There is no truth in the news about former DCP Radha Kishan Rao. Radha Kishan Rao. And added that he is safe in the barrack. The news that Radha Kishan Rao was bitten by a cat is false. Radhakrishnan Rao, who was arrested in the phone typing case, is safe in jail.”
Further it was mentioned that a cat jumped on him while he was in sleep in the barrack and there are no injuries to the DCP. However, as a safety measure, TT injection was given to him, but there was no shifting to hospital and no bleeding injury has occured.
What is Phone tapping case in Telangana?
Radha Kishan Rao is a former Deputy Commissioner of Police(DCP), who confessed to extensive phone tapping of political leaders in Telangana.
As earlier reported by the Hyderabad Mail, according to Rao, the Special Intelligence Branch (SIB) Chief Prabhakar Rao orchestrated the operation, targeting threats to the ruling BRS party. Further, Rao stated that SIB, under Prabhakar Rao’s direction, systematically gathered information on these individuals. The intelligence was then relayed to SIB DSP Praneeth Kumar, who continuously monitored these individuals. Prominent figures under surveillance included MLC Shambipur Raju, T. Rajaiah, Kadiyam Srihari, Patnam Mahender Reddy and his wife, retired IPS officer RS Praveen Kumar, and media personalities NTV’s Narendra Chowdary and ABN’s Radhakrishna among others.
