Damaged car lodged beneath rear of TGSRTC bus after collision at Ramanthapur in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A speeding car rammed into the rear of a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TGSRTC) bus at Ramanthapur on Monday morning, causing extensive damage to the vehicle.

According to police and transport officials, the bus was travelling from Uppal to Mehdipatnam and had stopped at the Polytechnic College bus stop in Ramanthapur to pick up passengers when the accident occurred.

The car, which was approaching from behind, crashed into the stationary bus with considerable force. The impact severely damaged the front portion of the car, with the engine compartment getting lodged beneath the rear of the bus.

Officials said the bus was stationary at the time of the collision. No injuries to bus passengers were reported.

The condition of the car driver was not immediately known. However, preliminary information suggested that the driver escaped without serious injuries.

Police have launched an investigation to determine the cause of the accident. They are examining whether overspeeding or other factors contributed to the crash. Further details are awaited.
