C.V. Anand appointed as new Hyderabad Police Commissioner
Hyderabad: The Telangana Government has issued new orders regarding the transfers and postings of several Indian Police Service (IPS) officers on Saturday, September 7, 2024.
C.V. Anand (IPS 1991) has been transferred from his role as Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) and will now serve as the Commissioner of Police, Hyderabad City, succeeding Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy (IPS 1994).
Following his transfer, Kothakota Sreenivasa Reddy will take up the position of Director General of Vigilance & Enforcement and serve as Ex-Officio Principal Secretary to the Government in the General Administration (V&E) Department.
Vijay Kumar (IPS 1997), previously serving as Additional Director General of Police (Personnel), will now assume the role of Director General of the Anti-Corruption Bureau, replacing C.V. Anand.
Mahesh M. Bhagwat (IPS 1995), currently Additional Director General of Police (Law and Order), will be given full additional charge of the post of Additional Director General of Police (Personnel & Welfare) until further orders.
M. Ramesh (IPS 2005), Inspector General of Police for Provisioning and Logistics, has been assigned full additional charge of the post of Inspector General of Police (Sports) until further notice.
These appointments were announced by Santhi Kumari, Chief Secretary to the Telangana Government.
