BRS leaders raise defections and unemployment issues with Telangana Governor

Somajiguda: BRS working president K T Rama Rao along with other BRS leaders approached Telangana Governor C P Radhakrishnan and complained about defections of legislators and unemployment issues on Saturday. Further Rao assured to fight against Congress on people issues and will do justice to the opposition role given to BRS by the people.
Speaking to media after meeting the Governor at Raj Bhavan, Rama Rao said “ We have explained the Governor about the treatment of unemployed youths by the present government for staging protests We also informed him about the attacks on the students in Osmania University campus and at the City Central Library. Sharing the concern voiced by the delegation, the Governor assured that he would call the home secretary and discuss the issues of the unemployed youths with him.”
Further Rama Rao added that the issue of defections taken up with the Governor, the BRS party was also explained to him. “So far, ten MLAs and eight MLCs of the BRS had joined the Congress. One legislator who won from the Khairatabad assembly seat and later defected to congress and went on to contest parliament elections on Congress ticket. This is in clear violation of anti-defection law.” The Governor had assured that he would look into the issue of defections and act according to the provisions within the purview of his office.
Throwing light on the issues of unemployed youths Rama Rao said,“There is neither the job calendar nor any job notifications from the government so far. The Congress had failed to provide 2 lakh jobs as per their assurances. We will continue our fight against injustice done by the congress government and will do justice to the role of opposition given to us by the people.
The other BRS leaders’ delegation who accompanied Rama Rao were former ministers G Jagadish Reddy, Gangula Kamalakar, P Sabitha Indra Reddy and others.
