BRS leader files ED complaint against CM Revanth Reddy over Rs 1000 crore Swachh Bio deal

Hyderabad: A political storm is brewing in Telangana after Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader Krishank Manne filed a complaint with the Enforcement Directorate (ED) urging them to investigate Telangana Chief Minister Anumula Revanth Reddy on Tuesday. Krishank Manne alleges that Reddy is involved in a conflict of interest regarding a Rs 1000 crore deal with Swachh Bio.
In his complaint copy, Krisnak Manne stated that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Chief Minister of Telangana Anumula Revanth Reddy and Swachh Bio company with an investment of 1000 crore was released by the Chief Minister’s Office on 6th August 2024.
“It is a matter of serious concern that out of the two Directors of Swachh Bio, one is Anumula Jagdeeshwar Reddy, brother of Anumula Revanth Reddy as registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs. It is also to be noted that the address of correspondence of Director Anumula Jagdeesh is Philadelphia, United States of America,” said Krishank Manne, an official spokesperson of BRS, in his complaint.
Although the Government of Telangana represented by IT Minister Sridhar Babu defended CM family members doing business, isn’t it a conflict of Interest and Quid Pro Quo if the CM himself during an official tour is announcing business with the company, said Manne.
Company incorporated just 15 days before CM’s visit to Philadelphia
In his complaint copy, Krishnak Manne alleged that the company was incorporated just 15 days before the CM’s visit to Philadelphia. Further raising doubts about the company he said, “It was registered with the Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) with the address of Jubilee Hills, Hyderabad, then what is the purpose of announcing this company in the USA? Does it involve foreign funds? Is there anything to do with Money Laundering? The company office in jubilee hills officially registered does not even have a name board and is a residential apartment which violates Corporate Law.”
The person who was in picture with Chief Minister Revanth signing MoU is Harsha Pasunuri, he along with CM Revanth’s brother should explain their financials and how they have come forward to invest 1000 crores. It is a major misuse of office by CM Revanth to sign MoU with his brother Jagadeesh to benefit his business.
“As this is sheer corruption, we request the authorities to kindly accept our appeal as a complaint and conduct fair investigation on Swachh Bio directors as well as Anumula Revanth Reddy,” read the complaint copy.
