Boduppal family scares off midnight intruder
MEDIPALLY: A family in Raghavendra Colony, Boduppal, woke up to loud noises at their door around midnight on Monday after an underwear-clad intruder entered their compound and tried to break open the main door.
The intruder, who was wearing a shirt and underwear and carrying a cellphone, reportedly jumped over the railing of an adjoining building to enter the house compound.
Family’s screams force intruder to flee
The family members heard heavy noises near the main door and became alert. When they raised an alarm, the intruder immediately jumped over a wall and fled.
The family members heaved a sigh of relief after the intruder fled. The incident created concern among residents of Raghavendra Colony, where people have sought increased police patrolling at night.
Incident video circulates on social media
The incident, which took place within the limits of Medipally police station, has since circulated widely on social media.
Residents said the attempt to enter a house while family members were inside at midnight had caused concern in the locality and urged police to intensify night patrols.
