Four injured in BMW car crash at Masab Tank

Hyderabad: Four individuals were injured early morning on August 18, 2024 (Sunday) when their BMW car collided with a road divider at Masab Tank in Hyderabad.

According to the reports, the accident occurred around 7:30 a.m. as the vehicle was traveling from Khairatabad towards Banjara Hills.

The car, driven by Jitesh Bhagga, was carrying two men and two women at the time of the incident. Witnesses at the scene assisted the injured, who were then transported to a private hospital for medical treatment.

Local residents alerted the police, who arrived promptly and are investigating the factors contributing to the accident.

It was earlier reported that on August 17, a tragic accident at the Habsiguda Signal in Tarnaka, Hyderabad, resulted in the death of 16-year-old Ranga Sathvika, a 10th grader at Gowtham Model School, and serious injuries to the auto driver, Yellaiah.

Sathvika, who was traveling to school, was killed instantly when a high-speed tipper lorry collided with the parked auto she was in, pushing it into a stationary RTC bus. The auto driver, critically injured, was taken to a private hospital.

Another accident occurred on Saturday, August 3 in Ibrahim Bagh under the Golconda Police Station limits. A 7-year-old boy lost his life, and his parents were injured after their bike was struck by a car driven by an intoxicated driver.

The driver, identified as Srinath, was reportedly under the influence of alcohol and driving on the wrong side of the road. Eyewitnesses confirmed the driver’s impaired state. Srinath has been arrested, and an investigation is ongoing.

Earlier, on Friday, August 2, a 19-year-old BBA student named Charan from ICFAI University died in a high-speed crash into a flyover near Raidurgam. Charan, who was returning home from BNR Hills, lost control of his Swift Dzire, resulting in severe damage and his death on the spot. Police have determined that overspeeding was the cause of the accident.
