BJP plans overnight stay with residents opposing Musi demolitions drive

BJP Leaders Protest Musi Demolitions

Hyderabad: In a show of solidarity against the Congress government’s demolition drive in the Musi River zone, BJP state leaders, under State President and Union Minister for Coal and Mines and Secunderabad MP G Kishan Reddy, called for ‘Musi Nidra Campaign’. As a part of it several BJP leaders will spend the night with affected residents across various constituencies in Hyderabad.

As part of a protest, Guest Leaders will reach the Music-affected areas on the evening of November 16 and stay until the morning of November 17. BJP leaders will stay in residents’ homes across 13 locations in six Assembly constituencies. The initiative aims to strengthen the party’s opposition to what they describe as “unplanned demolition of houses” in the Musi zone.

Some of the prominent leaders will stay in the following locations- BJP Telangana state president G Kishan Reddy in Tulsi Ram Nagar of Amberpet, Konda Vishweshwar Reddy in Hydershakote of Rajender Nagar assembly segment, NVSS Prabhakar in Ramanthapur of Uppal assembly constituency, Eatala Rajender in Dwaraka Puram Colony, Ganesh Nagar, Phani Giri Colony of LB Nagar assembly, Dr. K Laxman in Old Malakpet and Shalivahana Nagar of Malakpet assembly,and N. Ramchander Rao in Ghatkesar area of Medchal Rural assembly segment.

BJP intensifies protest against Musi river demolitions

The program includes several planned activities. The guest leaders will interact with residents, stay overnight, and sharedinner and breakfast with residents and Rachha Banda. “The leaders will interact with affected residents and share dinner with families. After the overnight stay, they will participate in morning interactions and breakfast with local residents. A ‘Rachha Banda’ session will be conducted to collect grievances from affected residents.The program will conclude with door-to-door pamphlet distribution by BJP leaders and party workers” said an official statement released by BJP.

The protest will take place in Amberpet, Bahadurpura, Malakpet, Goshamahal, Charminar, and Karwan, with an expected gathering of about 25 people at each location. In the Karwan assembly segment, D. Pardeep Kumar will stay in Langar Houz, and Prem Singh Rathod will be in Karwan Division and Endala Laxmi Narayana will stay in Jiyaguda. In the Bahadurpura Assembly constituency, Dharma Rao will stay in Asad Baba Nagararea), while Janardhan Reddy will be in Hyderguda. For the Goshamahal assembly, B. B. Patil will stay in Afzal Ganj (Mix of residential housing and basti),Seetaram Naik will stay in Jummeraat Bazar, and Katepally Venkata Raman Reddy will stay in Gowliguda. In the Charminar assembly, Amarsingh Khilawat will stay in Puranapool Darwaza. In the Amberpet assembly, Chintala Ramachandra Reddy will be in Kamala Nagar, K. S. Ratnam in Shastri Nagar, and Krishna Yadav in Ambedkar Nagar. In Rajendra Nagar assembly, Premender Reddy will be in Attapur. Lastly, in L.B. Nagar assembly, Chada Suresh Reddy will cover New Maruthi Nagar and Satya Nagar.
