Birthday party ends in murder; Two arrested in Hyderabad

Hyderabad: The Jagadgirigutta Police have cracked the murder case of MD. Nadeem Pasha (Son of Mohd Akbar Pasha, resident of Deenabandu Colony) within 24 hours.
The deceased was allegedly killed on the intervening night of October 12th and 13th, 2024, at around 3:00 a.m. near the NTR statue in Deenabandu Colony, Jagadgirigutta.
The accused have been identified as Mohd Khaleel (Son of Mohammad Raheem, resident of Deenabandu Colony) and Katta Prasad alias Vara Prasad (Son of Katta Mallesh, resident of Vaddepally Enclave, Kukatpally), were apprehended on October 14th, 2024.
Police also seized mobile phones, iron pipes believed to be the murder weapon, and bloodstained clothing from the accused.
According to the police investigation, the accused and their friends celebrated Katta Prasad’s birthday at Vaddepally Enclave on the night of the incident. Around 2:00 a.m. they arrived at Deenabandu Colony, where the victim was present with others. Upon seeing Khaleel, a fight reportedly broke out between the deceased and Khaleel.
Later, at 3:00 a.m., Khaleel and Katta Prasad allegedly returned to Deenabandu Colony and attacked the deceased with iron pipes, inflicting fatal head and facial injuries. The accused then fled the scene.
Following a swift investigation, both accused were arrested on October 14th. The seized mobile phones, murder weapons (iron pipes), and bloodstained clothes will be presented as evidence. Khaleel and Katta Prasad are being produced before the court for remand to judicial custody.
The Inspector and his team have been lauded by their superiors for their prompt action in solving the case and apprehending the suspects.
