BHUPALPALLY: A scrap trader died after a monkey attack in Jayashankar Bhupalpally district on Friday.

According to police, Konasagottu Hari Krishna, 50, from Aakunoor village in Karimnagar district, had moved to Bhupalpally town for livelihood. He lived with his family in Jawaharnagar Colony and earned by purchasing scrap iron.

On Thursday evening, when he stepped out of his house, a group of monkeys attacked him. While trying to escape, he slipped and fell near a roadside drain.

Severe head injury leads to hospitalisation

He suffered a serious head injury. Locals shifted him to the district hospital. As his condition worsened, he was referred to MGM Hospital in Warangal.

Police confirm death during treatment on Friday

Hari Krishna died while undergoing treatment on Friday, said Bhupalpally Circle Inspector Naresh Kumar.

He is survived by his wife and two daughters.
