HYDERABAD: Road cave-in reported on BHEL Junction Flyover, raises alarm on NH-65

HYDERABAD: A section of the BHEL Junction Flyover on National Highway 65 (NH-65) in Hyderabad has developed a visible cave-in on the stretch leading towards Chandanagar and Madinaguda. The depression has appeared on the flyover deck directly above the underpass provision, causing concern among regular commuters.
Commuters flag safety risk, seek immediate repair
Motorists using the route have alerted authorities to the danger, urging swift repair to prevent accidents. The damaged surface has reportedly begun to sink, creating unevenness that could endanger vehicles, especially two-wheelers and heavy transport carriers.
GHMC and NHAI expected to take up inspection and restoration
Residents and daily commuters have appealed to the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) and the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) to initiate urgent restoration. Officials are expected to inspect the flyover structure and assess if the cave-in is limited to the surface layer or extends deeper, to ensure the structural integrity of both the flyover and the underpass beneath.
