Bharat Pride 2024 day 2: Engaging science expo in Dilsukhnagar

Dilsukhnagar: The second day of the Bharat Pride 2024 National Science and Industrial Exhibition was marked by enthusiasm and engagement at G. Pulla Reddy Memorial School in Dilsukhnagar on October 19, 2024. Organised by the Jagruthi Youth Association, Telangana, this three-day science expo is open to the public with free entry, providing a fantastic opportunity for students, educators, and science enthusiasts to explore the latest innovations and technologies.

The expo showcases an impressive array of science and technology displays, including rocket models, satellite models, Chandrayaan and Gaganyaan mission models, drones, airplane models, and hands-on science projects. These exhibits offer a unique opportunity to experience the latest advancements in space exploration, aeronautics, and industrial technologies.

The exhibition was officially inaugurated by Dr. G. Naga Ratna, Scientist F and Head of the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Hyderabad, on October 18, 2024. Several notable personalities attended the inaugural event, including Suresh Babu, owner of Sai Chaitanya Junior College and Group of Institutions; Dr. T. Pavan Kumar from CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar; and Dr. Ananta Prasada Chary from CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru.

Scientists from CSIR-SERC, Chennai; T.S. Prasad from NRSC, Hyderabad; and Ch. Narendra Sharma, Chairman of Bharat Pride, were also present. N. Naresh, President of the Jagruthi Youth Association, along with the management and staff of G. Pulla Reddy Memorial School, showed strong support for the event.

The exhibition features participation from some of the country’s most prestigious science and research institutions. Major government organisations showcasing their innovations include CSIR-NGRI, Hyderabad; CSIR-NAL, Bengaluru; CSIR-IMMT, Bhubaneswar; CSIR-SERC, Chennai; Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum, Bengaluru; ISRO-NRSC, Hyderabad; IMD, Hyderabad; UIDAI Regional Office, Hyderabad; National Council for Science Museums, Kolkata; NIOT, Chennai; IIMT, Pune; Vivekananda Rao Memorial, Kanya Kumari; Samskruta Bharat; and Space Adhyayan, a space society.

Pulla Reddy Memorial School students have also presented innovative projects, creating a collaborative space for learning and inspiration.

As part of the Jagruthi Youth Association’s 20-year legacy in promoting science education, Bharat Pride 2024 aims to ignite curiosity and inspire the next generation of scientists and innovators. The exhibition is open to the public from 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on October 18th, 19th, and 20th, 2024.
