Watch: Bhagyalakshmi temple features Ayodhya’s Ram temple canopy

Hyderabad: A large number of devotees were seen standing in queues outside the Bhagyalakshmi temple, which abuts the historic Charminar, to offer prayers on the occasion of Deepavali on Thursday morning.
This year’s temple decoration, featuring Ayodhya’s Ram Temple-like canopy, has become a cynosure for all eyes. The whole nation is celebrating the festival of lights today. Deepavali is observed on the 15th day of Kartik, the holiest month in the Hindu lunar calendar.
The celebration marks the victory of good over evil and light over darkness. People decorate their homes with diyas, draw rangoli, prepare sweet dishes and other delicacies, and visit friends and relatives.
Anticipating a heavy rush of devotees to the temple during the festival period, the Hyderabad traffic police have announced a traffic advisory for commuters. The police have advised motorists to avoid certain routes around Bhagyalakshmi temple from October 29 to November 3, 2024. The general public has been advised to avoid these routes: Charminar to Madina, Charminar to Murgi Chowk, and Charminar to Shah Ali Banda for six days.
