Farmer Lakavath Jerram from Julurupadu files complaint over rooster theft in Bhadradri Kothagudem

TELANGANA: A farmer in Jethya Thanda of Julurupadu mandal has approached police alleging that two unidentified men stole his rooster by using a hen as bait.

The incident occurred in Jethya Thanda under Machinenipeta Thanda gram panchayat limits in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.

Lakavath Jerram, a farmer from the village, was rearing three roosters and a hen at his house. On September 19, he left for his agricultural field in the afternoon. When he returned in the evening, one rooster was missing.

On making enquiries with neighbours, he learnt that two persons had arrived on a motorcycle carrying a hen. Jerram suspected that they used the hen as bait. When his rooster approached it, they allegedly caught the bird and fled on the motorcycle.

Jerram lodged a complaint with the police on Saturday seeking action.
