Begumpet woman pilot alleges rape attempt in Bengaluru

HYDERABAD: A Begumpet woman pilot working with an aviation firm has accused a senior colleague of attempting to rape her during an official trip to Bengaluru.
Senior pilot travelled with her on official duty
Police said the 26-year-old Begumpet pilot and Rohit Sharan, 60, both commercial pilots, travelled to Bengaluru recently on company work.
According to her complaint, Sharan allegedly tried to rape her inside a hotel room. She resisted, escaped from the location, returned to Hyderabad and approached the Begumpet police station.
FIR moved to Halasuru police
Inspector Saidulu said Begumpet police registered a case against Sharan on Friday. As the incident occurred within the Halasuru police station limits in Bengaluru, the FIR was transferred there for further investigation.
