HYDERABAD: Traffic police in Begumpet rescued a hawk that was in danger after getting trapped in banned manja entangled in tree branches.
Senior officers spot bird during patrol
Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police Lakshmi and Assistant Commissioner of Police Shankar Raju noticed the injured hawk and alerted staff.
Bird freed safely with staff support
With the help of personnel, the officers safely freed the hawk and ensured it was out of danger.
Police appeal against banned manja use
Speaking on the occasion, the officers urged the public not to use banned manja, which poses a threat to birds and human lives. They appealed to citizens to act responsibly in protecting the environment.
