Nampally Ready for Fish Prasadam Mega Gathering as Devotees Pour In
HYDERABAD: The annual distribution of the Bathini family’s fish prasadam, which many believe helps relieve bronchial ailments, will begin on Monday evening and continue until Tuesday at the Exhibition Grounds in Nampally.
The Telangana government has made extensive arrangements for the event, which coincides with Mrigasira Karte. Thousands of people from across the country are expected to attend.
Transport minister Ponnam Prabhakar, fisheries minister Vakiti Srihari and Telangana State Fisheries Development Corporation chairman Mettu Sai Kumar inspected the venue on Saturday.
Prabhakar asked officials from all departments to work together and ensure smooth arrangements. He stressed the need for strong crowd control and public safety measures during the event.
Focus on crowd control and safety
During the inspection, the team reviewed facilities at the Nampally Exhibition Grounds and checked preparations for large crowds. Officials must stay alert and prevent overcrowding or stampede-like situations.
The ministers also directed authorities to manage traffic effectively around the venue. They want visitors and vehicles to move smoothly during the two-day event.
Sai Kumar reviewed the arrangements and issued instructions to officials. He said the fisheries department is supervising the supply and distribution of fish used for the prasadam.
Power, water and emergency support
Officials must keep all fans and coolers along the queue lines running throughout the event. They also need to provide an uninterrupted power supply and adequate drinking water for visitors.
Authorities have kept waterproof generators ready to handle any power disruptions.
