Hyderabad: Two die in Banjara Hills crash
HYDERABAD: Two persons died in a road accident at Banjara Hills in the city.
A water tanker hit a bike from behind near Road No. 10 on Monday morning, killing the rider and a pillion passenger on the spot.
Police identified the deceased as Syed Hussain , a home guard attached to Santoshnagar Traffic police station, and Akshita , a native of Vizianagaram district.
According to police, Hussain worked as a home guard at Santoshnagar Traffic police station and also drove for Rapido part-time. On Monday morning, Akshita booked a Rapido ride and was travelling on Hussain’s bike.
Near Banjara Hills Road No. 10, a water tanker coming at high speed from behind rammed the bike. Both victims died on the spot.
Police registered a case and have begun an investigation.
