Gold jewellery worth over 1 kg stolen in Banjara Hills
HYDERABAD: More than one kilogram of gold jewellery was allegedly stolen from an export office in Banjara Hills, police said.
The complainant, a trader from Surat, told police that 1,028 grams of gold jewellery kept in a locker for diamond setting had gone missing. The stolen items included seven necklaces and seven pairs of earrings.
Washroom window used to gain entry
Police said the burglars are suspected to have entered the office after damaging a washroom window. The theft is believed to have taken place on Saturday night and came to light later.
A case has been registered, and an investigation is under way.
