Bandi Sanjay targets Revanth Reddy, KCR remarks
HYDERABAD: Union minister Bandi Sanjay on Thursday criticised the language used by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy against former chief minister K Chandrashekar Rao, saying public figures must exercise restraint while speaking.

Addressing a media interaction, Sanjay said the tone adopted against a former chief minister had lowered the dignity of the office. He said the remarks had triggered an intense debate across Telangana and advised leaders at high positions to speak responsibly.
Krishna waters decisions under fire
On river water sharing, Sanjay said KCR had erred, adding that an agreement had been reached between the two states at the time. He recalled that an Indian Administrative Service officer had tweeted comments he made earlier on water allocation. Sanjay alleged that KCR’s decisions on Krishna waters had led to the current situation and said the former chief minister had skipped several Apex Council meetings.
Ministers under central agencies’ watch
Sanjay alleged that the verbal attacks on KCR were aimed at generating sympathy but said such “distasteful language” was unnecessary. He accused the KCR family of harming Telangana’s interests and said people had confined KCR to his farmhouse.
Claiming that two state ministers had amassed illegal assets worth thousands of crores, Sanjay said central agencies were monitoring them and that jail was inevitable. He alleged that some ministers were selling land using political power and said the Centre had evidence on the state government’s functioning. He also accused KCR of raising the Krishna waters issue to divert attention from the Kaleshwaram project scam and alleged that the Revanth Reddy government was functioning no differently from the previous regime.
