Balka Suman alleges harassment after arrest

HYDERABAD: Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) former MLA Balka Suman was arrested by police and was being shifted to court on Saturday.
Before his arrest, Suman addressed a media conference at Telangana Bhavan and alleged that the Congress government was filing illegal cases against BRS leaders and subjecting them to harassment.
Suman targets government over Singareni issues
Speaking to reporters, Suman alleged that Singareni had turned into a centre of irregularities. He claimed that the Congress government was attempting to suppress the voices of those questioning it instead of implementing the promises and guarantees it had made.
Suman said 226 cases had been registered against him during the Telangana movement.
Says he will continue questioning government
He alleged that he was being harassed through false cases and claimed that he had been jailed during municipal elections. He said another case had now been filed against him.
“I have not run away anywhere. I have faith in the judiciary and respect the judicial system,” Suman said.
Alleging that the Congress government was specifically targeting him, Suman questioned why cases were being filed against him when he was raising issues related to the welfare of Singareni workers. He said he was not afraid of cases and would continue to question the government.
