Rachakonda police Crack down on contract killing case, Nine arrested

Hyderabad: In a chilling case of contract killing, Rachakonda police have successfully apprehended nine individuals involved in the brutal murder of a man. The victim was attacked and gunned down one busy road in public view. Investing revealed that the main conspirator had hired a supari gang to eliminate him.

The police have arrested Mohammed Saleem, Mohammad Sultan, Mohammad Ghouse, Mohammed Ismail,Ahmad Badshah, Syed Inayath Ullah,Taufeeq Khan, Shaik Hussain, and Mohammad Salman.The main accused Shaik Mohammed Hameed along with two other accused Fazil and Faraz are absconding, said Sudeer Babu, Rachakonda police commissioner.

According to the police, the main accused hired the supari gang to eliminate his rival Khaja Riyajuddin, G. Sudheer Babu, Commissioner of Police, Rachakonda, said, “On 8th August, While Khaja Riyajuddin reached Indane Gas Go-down on RCI-Mallapur road at about 10: 20 in the night, the gang came in a car and rammed his bike from rear. As a result, he fell on the road. The gang deboarded the car with weapons and beat him on his head with a weapon and also one of the persons shot him in his chest with a firearm due to which he sustained severe injuries.

Meanwhile, Riyajuddin’s brother Khaja Sirajuddin reached the spot and found his brother Riyajuddin lying on the road in a pool of blood with injuries. Subsequently along with passerby he shifted his brother to Owaisi Hospital for treatment but the duty doctor of the Owaisi Hospital examined him and declared his brother brought dead.

Based on the complaint from Khaja Sirajuddin, Balapur police booked a case and started investigation. Acting on technical evidence and specific information, the sleuths of Balapur Police, Maheswaram Zone, along with IT Cell and S.O.T Rachakonda Commissionereate on Wedneday apprehended the accused at the House of Munwar Khan’s Guest House.

On interrogation the accused confessed to the crime, then police seized weapons- Country Made Firearm with 2 Rounds of Live Cartridges, two Axes and one Nariyal Katha/ Knife and a plastic bottle containing liquid chilli powder

Investigation revealed the main accused Shaik Mohammed Hameed had rivalary with the deceased and he hired the supari gang for Rs 13 lakhs to eliminate him. Further provided financial aid to accused persons and procured firearms and ammunition from Lucknow. Later he escaped to Dubai and remotely monitored the entire plan, preparation, execution, escaping of the accused persons from the scene of offence, providing shelter to them.
