Sama Praneeth Reddy wins Balapur laddu for ₹39 lakh
HYDERABAD: The Balapur Ganesh laddu was auctioned for ₹39 lakh on September 25, with Sama Praneeth Reddy of Saheb Nagar in Vanasthalipuram emerging as the highest bidder.
Reddy, 35, is associated with Urban Reality Group. He recently returned to Hyderabad from the US and started his business under the name Urban Groups, according to the information provided.
The auction price of ₹39 lakh is ₹4 lakh higher than last year’s price of ₹35 lakh, when Lingala Dasarath Goud won the laddu.
Laddu auction price rises ₹4 lakh from last year
The Balapur Ganesh laddu auction is an annual feature of the Ganesh festival in Hyderabad. This year’s auction saw the laddu fetch ₹39 lakh.
Reddy secured the laddu at the auction at a relatively young age. He belongs to Saheb Nagar in Vanasthalipuram.
The auction price in 2025 was ₹35 lakh.
