Actor Balakrishna surprises music director Thaman with luxurious Porsche car

Hyderabad: Actor Nandamuri Balakrishna has gifted music director Thaman a luxurious Porsche car in recognition of his outstanding contributions to their recent film successes, including Akhanda, Veerasimha Reddy, Bhagavanth Kesari, and Daaku Maharaaj.
This gesture, which has gained widespread attention on social media, highlights the strong bond between the actor and composer. It comes just a month after the theatrical release of their latest collaboration, Daaku Maharaaj, which was a box office hit.
Thaman, affectionately called as “Nandamuri Thaman” by fans and Balakrishna himself, is currently composing music for the upcoming Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Sreenu and slated for a Dasara release.
At a recent Daaku Maharaaj event, Thaman expressed his deep admiration for Balakrishna, describing him as a father figure.
Thaman S, born Ghantasala Sai Srinivas on November 16, 1983, is an acclaimed composer and playback singer in Telugu and Tamil cinema. Known for his musical contributions to films such as Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, and Bhagavanth Kesari, Thaman has also worked as a judge on Telugu Indian Idol.
His early exposure to music came through his father, Ghantasala Siva Kumar, an accomplished drummer. Thaman began his career in the film industry as a rhythm player at the age of 11 and later became one of the most sought-after music directors in the industry.
