Bahar Cafe in KPHB hygiene concerns

Kukatpally/Hyderabad: Public health concerns have been raised regarding Bahar Cafe, located in KPHB Phase 3, near Nexus Mall and opposite Almond House. Reports indicate a significant hygiene issue at the establishment, with rats roaming freely and consuming leftovers.

 

A customer, identified as Manish with the handle @WoMotaWalaLadka, took to ‘X,’ formerly known as Twitter, to highlight the troubling situation. In his post, he tagged authorities, including the Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, the GHMC official handle, its commissioner, and the FSSAI. He urged immediate intervention, stating, โ€œUrgent action needed at Bahar Cafe! Hygiene is non-existent, with rats freely roaming tables, terrible food quality, and arrogant owners ignoring complaints. Please investigate ASAP!โ€

 

Food Safety Department responds to complaints

 

In response to similar concerns, a task force from the Food Safety Department of Telangana conducted raids on two restaurants in Hyderabad following complaints lodged through the FoSCoS App.

 

Indian Darbar Restaurant, Amberpet

The Commissioner of Food Safety, Telangana, announced on ‘X’ that a complaint was received via the FoSCoS app (Ticket No. 788269643) regarding the Indian Darbar Restaurant, located in Narayanguda, Amberpet. The concerned Food Safety Officer inspected the premises and identified violations under the FSS Act, 2006, and the associated Rules and Regulations, 2011. A notice will be issued to the restaurant, and further action will be taken as necessary.

 

Mehrraab Restaurant, Upperpally

Similarly, a complaint about Mehrraab Restaurant in Rajender Nagar, Upperpally, was received through the FoSCoS app (Ticket No. 595744225). Following an inspection by the Food Safety Officer, violations of the FSS Act, 2006, and relevant regulations were identified. A notice will be issued to the restaurant, and subsequent actions will be determined accordingly.
