Residents raise concerns over delay in Bachupally flyover construction

Hyderabad: Residents of Bachupally and surrounding areas have expressed frustration over the prolonged delay in the construction of the Bachupally flyover, which is causing significant inconvenience and traffic problems for commuters.
Jagdish, a resident of Mallampet, told Hyderabad Mail that the flyover, meant to reduce traffic between Miyapur and Bollaram, has been delayed many times. Traffic is very bad, especially during office hours. Although workers and machines are present, the work is moving very slowly. The road has become unsafe, and there have been many near-accidents. He said elections caused some delays, but the current road conditions are dangerous.
Another resident, Maharshi Teja, asked for the flyover to be finished soon to help with daily traffic problems. He said, “The road near the Bachupally signal is in very bad shape. We request HMDA and GHMC to fix this quickly. The traffic chaos every day is making travel hard.”
People commuting from Bachupally, Mallampet, and Nizampet say their travel time has increased during busy hours because parts of the flyover are unfinished and there are narrow detours. The construction site lacks enough barricades and signs, and potholes and uneven roads are especially risky for two-wheeler riders and pedestrians.
