HYDERABAD: Baahubali is set to enter a new chapter. The teaser for the much-anticipated 3D animated film, Baahubali: The Eternal War – Part 1, was released on November 4, 2025. Fans are excited, and the franchise is ready for its next big story.

Shobu Yarlagadda’s Arka Media Works is producing the film in collaboration with international partners, including the French animation studio Alcyde and artists from the Arcane series. This project marks a big step forward for Indian animation. The teaser highlights mythological themes and impressive CGI, showing the scale of the Baahubali franchise.

The film follows Amarendra Baahubali in a divine realm, set amid battles between gods and demons. Prabhas returns to the franchise, lending his voice to the animated version of his character.

The project has received the ultimate seal of approval from the creator of the original live-action universe, S.S. Rajamouli. Taking to social media platform X, Rajamouli tweeted, “@Shobu_ garu is on a mission and he has the Baahubali calendar set for the next decade. The first chapter of that vision begins with BAAHUBALI: THE ETERNAL WAR!”

He further praised the teaser, describing it as “stunning, crafted with top-tier quality. And imagination that is worthy of Baahubali’s magnificence. Can’t wait to see Maahishmathi rise again through @Ishan_Shukla’s direction.”

The producers drew inspiration from the legend of Lord Shiva as Tripurantaka, who on Karthika Pournami destroyed the three flying cities of the Asuras with a single arrow. This sets the tone for the mythological warfare and divine conflict central to the animated duology.

Directed by Ishan Shukla with a budget of Rs 120 crore, Baahubali: The Eternal War – Part 1 is set to release in 2027. The strong response to the teaser has made it a major project for both the franchise and Indian animation, showing that Baahubali’s story will continue.
