This accident follows another fatal bus collision earlier this month. On December 9, 2024, Ramesh, a man riding his two-wheeler, was struck and killed by a private bus in Moosapet, Kukatpally. The accident occurred in the early hours when Ramesh attempted to make a turn. The bus collided with his bike, causing him to lose control and be run over by the bus’s rear tires. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Locals alerted the Kukatpally police, who responded promptly and began their investigation. The body of the victim was sent to Gandhi Hospital for an autopsy.

Earlier, a similar tragic incident occurred in Shahpur Nagar on October 30, 2024, when a private travel bus collided with a pedestrian. Harikrishna, a sanitation supervisor for GHMC, was struck while crossing the road. The bus dragged him from Chowrasta to Sagar Hotel. Emergency services were alerted, and the Jeedimetla police arrived at the scene. Following the incident, GHMC workers protested near Sagar Hotel, demanding accountability.

In a separate incident on September 21, 2024, 32-year-old Raga Jyothi was killed when a lorry struck and ran over her while she was crossing the road in Medchal. Despite efforts to save her, she was declared dead at the scene.
