A total of 1,525 hospitals have been empanelled under the Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) in Telangana as of February 28, 2026, the Union government informed the Lok Sabha.
Of these, 1,018 are public hospitals and 507 are private hospitals, Union health minister Jagat Prakash Nadda said in a written reply to a starred question by Konda Vishweshwar Reddy.
District-wise list available online for beneficiaries
The government said the district-wise details, names and categories of empanelled hospitals can be accessed through the National Health Authority’s hospital empanelment portal.
The scheme allows eligible beneficiaries to avail cashless treatment at empanelled hospitals across the country.
Number of hospitals rising annually
The National Health Authority works with state health agencies to increase the number of empanelled hospitals to improve access to healthcare services, the minister said.
According to government data, the number of hospitals empanelled in Telangana has increased steadily in recent years:
2022–23: 12 hospitals
2023–24: 58 hospitals
2024–25: 70 hospitals
2025–26 (till February 28, 2026): 92 hospitals
Helpline launched for hospitals
To improve participation of hospitals, the government has set up a hospital-specific toll-free helpline (14413) to address issues related to empanelment and operational concerns in real time.
